We're Glad You're Here

Hello and welcome to Calvary Southwest Houston online. We are so very excited about this church plant that the Lord is building for the communities in and around Sugarland, Missouri City, and Rosharon.

We look forward to being a blessing to the community and a light for Jesus Christ! You are invited to be our guest on Sunday mornings at 8:30am and 10:30am for worship, fellowship, and the study of God's Word.

By His grace and for His Glory!

Meet the Pastor

Pastor Brett was raised in a Christian home and made the personal decision to place his trust in Jesus at a young age. After walking through a prodigal season in his life, he re-surrendered his heart to the Lord in 2000. That moment marked a turning point—awakening in him a deep passion for God's Word and a desire to serve Him wholeheartedly.

He began leading a weekly men’s Bible study, a ministry that continued for many years and helped solidify his calling to pastoral leadership. In 2008, God opened the door for Brett to step into full-time ministry—first as an assistant pastor, and later as a senior pastor in Arizona.

In 2019, the Lord led Pastor Brett and his family to Missouri City to plant a new church, now known as Calvary Southwest Houston. He and his wife, Cristina, have been married for 25 years and are proud parents of three children and grandparents to four. They are continually in awe of God’s grace and faithfulness and are excited to see all He has in store for the Southwest Houston community.

Mission & Purpose

At Calvary Chapel Southwest Houston, you'll find a group of people who love Jesus and love people; not perfectly, but sincerely! We hope to help our community see God's glory, goodness, faithfulness, and love.

We desire to worship and walk with God in a way that honors Him and blesses those around us that He loves so much. We do this by focusing on three areas:

Worship

We believe that everything we need for life and godliness is found in God’s Word—and we need all of it. That’s why we teach the Bible in its entirety, verse by verse, from Genesis to Revelation.

Each time we open Scripture, we ask three simple questions:

  1. What does His Word say?

  2. What does it mean?

  3. How do we apply it to our lives?

Want to be part of this journey? It’s simple: bring your Bible, a pen and paper, and come ready to hear from God as we study His Word together.

Discipleship

We believe spiritual growth happens best in community. When we do life together, we become more of who God created us to be.

Jesus commissioned us to “make disciples of all nations,” and that’s our heartbeat: to make disciples who make disciples.

How can you be a part of this?
It’s simple—join us each weekend, worship and serve with others, and get connected through one of our small groups. Let’s grow together.

Stewardship

Everything we have comes from God—and He invites us to take part in reaching the world with the Gospel.

1 Corinthians 3:9 calls us God’s fellow workers. We live this out by giving our time and talents to serve others, and by giving our resources generously and faithfully.

How can you be part of this mission?
It’s simple: sign up to serve on a weekend volunteer team, and trust God with your resources. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
